Undo Studio, Kenilworth

Undo is a new Yoga Studio & Treatment Room based in Kenilworth, Warwickshire.

 The word ‘Undo’ in Japanese can mean ‘exercise’ or ‘training’ and in this instance, it is used to imply the ‘undoing of stress’ as well as the act of undoing the day and relaxing.

 The interior combines smooth, modern lines with the sleek, functional, elegance of the Japanese aesthetic. We took influence from the ancient Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, a way of life which values slow-living, contentment and simplicity, as well as the Scandinavian practice of hygge, which embraces comfort, cosiness and wellbeing. The concept is minimalist yet welcoming, and is all about using neutral tones, lots of textures and natural materials. It was important that the design have sustainability at its core, highlighting beautiful craftsmanship with an emphasis on quality handmade pieces and natural materials – no throwaway, cheap products or methods.
